Issa Sow: Curator and Artist

Issa Sow is the founder and curator of this unique addition to the Hoboken art scene. Issa hand picks traditional and contemporary artwork from central and western Africa creating a beautiful collection of amazing pieces with something for everyone!! He is also an artist with a unique collection of his work, .

The gallery is a true "melange des cultures" with a variety of exhibitions.

The Gallery opened in September 2012 and like many other businesses was destroyed a month later during Superstorm Sandy. We are pleased to say that we are finally back with a new collection of amazing artwork!

Issa Sow was born and raised in Senegal, Africa. He moved to France in the 90's and then relocated to the USA and to Hoboken 6 years ago with his wife and children.

Issa is truly passionate about art and aims to support and promote african "living art" and artists. He also is strongly involved in the Hoboken education and arts scene through relationships with schools and cultural events and the Hoboken Arts Committee.
